We absolutely loved this place. The restaurant felt very Italian while the menu options are modern with interesting twists on traditional recipes. The service is very welcoming and friendly. The pasta is amazing! We also liked the music selection.
We were here for lunch. The whole menu was explained to us in English, which we did not expect and it was a welcomed suprise. The food is good and the variety is great. It is busy but we had no issue finding a table. They offer water for free. Bread and parmesan is also a service. Which is not typical for touristy areas. The desserts were however average, but it's a pasta place so that's alright with me.
Glad we found this place, and I highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner! They serve delicious pasta dishes, starting from classic tomato sauce to more complex pasta creations, in a very easy going setting. I finally found my vegetarian ravioli with a delicious sauce made out of honey, garlic and pistachios that was simply yum! This was a creation that I hadn’t seen before, especially not vegetarian. The menu offers many vegetarian options. Tiramisu war great as well. Salads looked very fresh but we didn’t have the chance to try.
My heartfelt recommendation for pasta in Lucca - if you’re here, don’t miss it! You place and pay for your order at the counter, and then the food and drinks are brought to your table. All the ingredients are incredibly fresh. We ordered the ravioli di ricotta e spinaci and fusilli alla carbonara di asparagi - both were so delicious that we ended up sharing a third dish: ravioli with ricotta, mele and pistachios. The fact that we ate three dishes between the two of us and it's hard to choose which was tastier says it all!
Fantastic place. The food was excellent and also delightful to see a place with a really innovative approach to Italian dishes. The Ravioli with spinach ricotta, pistachio and orange was really excellent as we're the innovative Bruschetas and the really wonderful cheesecake. Thank you to Giacomo and your team for such a wonderful place in a quiet street near the southern Gate of Lucca
Why go to another place, when you can get the best pasta here? All vegetarian as well, nice flavours, and you see how they are prepared as the kitchen is open. Also saw an "automated" fresh pasta "cooker" for the first time in my life, that lowers the pasta in the pasta water automatically, and lofts them up when they are done for the final preparation. Into the pan, adding the sauce and a bit of pasta water, and done!
